Zing Harkett is our church administrator. She produces our weekly newsletter, coordinates the church rosters, and oversees all of the bookings and groups that use the church facility.

Property
Bob Arnold takes on the responsibility of looking after all property maintenance.

Finance
Andrew Tyler heads up the team that handles the finances of Church on Vogel.

Kids Zone
Kid Zone operates every Sunday morning for children from three years, during the service for about 45 minutes – it includes a time of singing all together and teaching in age appropriate groups using the Scripture Union syllabus.

Pastoral Care
Andrew and Sonja Mitchell lead the Pastoral Care Ministry. There is the need for everyone in the church to feel that they are spiritually and emotionally supported. We see pastoral care as a church wide ministry in which everyone has a responsibility to contribute.

Sunday Worship
Stephen Little is responsible for the overall running of the Sunday Morning Worship Services. A big part of this is leading and coordinating the music team as well as overseeing the sound system and the computer desk.We believe that Sunday mornings should cater for all age groups so that all people in our church family feel valued.

Youth
Jason and Racheal Hockley oversee the youth ministry with the support of a committed team of young adults. Youth includes those of intermediate and high school age however older high school students tend to join in with the young adults.

Young Adults
Jamie Pearce is our Young Adults Pastor. Jamie works closely with an oversight team that is led by Tony and Toshi Martin. The young Adults have an emphasis on discipleship. The Great Commission is central to all that they do.

Craft Group
Janette Park is the point person for the lady’s craft group. This is held at the church on alternative Thursday mornings from 9.30am till 11.30am.

Prayer
Andrew Mitchell oversees the prayer ministry. As Psalm 127:1 affirms, “unless the Lord builds the house we labour in vain.” We believe that seeking God for His guidance and direction must be at the very heart of all that we do. We have a number of corporate prayer opportunities which are held at the church.

Home Groups
We have several home groups operating within Church on Vogel. Please contact the office if you would like to be part of a home group.

Play Group
The play group has been operating as a free service to the community since 1991 with some funding being received from the Early Childhood Education Unit. It runs out of a purpose built facility at the rear of the church with a large grass field and playgrounds.

Missions
Jesus has not given us a small task. Nor has He given us an impossible one. While we may be labelled the “mission team”, this is the name more accurately used to describe the whole church. We are a group of people in a catalyst role within COV who are moved by God’s heart for all nations.

Prison Ministry
James Hanly leads our vibrant and passionate prison ministry team. The team ministers in the Manawatu Prison.

Internship Programme
Andrew Mitchell heads up our internship programme which we do in partnership with Pathways Bible and Mission College. Our internships can be either a one year or two year programme. Each year involves an approximate mix of 50% study and 50% ministry.
